On March 15, a forest fire broke out near Sila Town, Yajiang County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. As of the 22nd, fire point 2 still had intermittent lines of fire and was a larger fire point. On March 22, the three-type UAVs independently developed by the aviation industry, namely the Pterosaur-2 emergency disaster relief type, the Pterosaur-2H artificial rain (snow) and Haiyan II UAVs, formed a system of three aircraft to coordinate emergency rescue and disaster relief operations for the first time. The innovative method of "reconnaissance, observation, and rain increase" was adopted to provide multi-angle and all-round support for fire fighting. This systematic operation is the first of its kind in China.
During the mission, the Emergency Management Department mobilized the Wing Loong-2 emergency disaster relief drone to mount a three-network base station into the airspace of the fire scene to perform aerial reconnaissance and emergency communication support tasks, and built a public communication network over the fire scene to realize mobile, telecommunications, and China Unicom. Public network signal coverage builds a long-term, stable command and communication platform for rescue officers and soldiers. The Haiyan II UAV deployed by the China Meteorological Administration carries out fixed-point meteorological conditions observation in key areas. The meteorological data is transmitted back to the ground command center in real time. After comprehensive judgment, the Pterosaur-2H artificial rain (snow) UAV accurately implements artificial rain (snow) enhancement. Rain-increasing operations resulted in widespread light snowfall in the affected area, providing important support for firefighting efforts.
The three "Wing Loong" aircraft cooperate, integrate multiple scenarios, and conduct systematic operations. based on the actual needs of sudden natural disasters, they realize the coordination of wide-area situation reconnaissance, emergency communication support, real-time meteorological observation, and aerial rainfall increase and fire suppression. "Major emergencies" and "Big Weather" breaks through in cross-domain scenarios for the first time. This is the first systematic innovative application of large-scale hollow drones in emergency scenarios in China. It provides a practical example for improving modern emergency support with multi-department coordinated command and efficient linkage, and also provides a practical example for natural disasters. Disaster relief provides new system solutions.
On March 22, the Wing Loong-2 emergency disaster relief drone went to the Yajiang mission area to perform fire scene aerial reconnaissance and communication support tasks.
On March 22, the Haiyan II UAV went to the Yajiang mission area to perform mobile observation operations.
On March 22, the Pterosaur-2H artificial rain (snow) drone went to the Yajiang mission area to perform artificial rain enhancement operations.
The China Meteorological Administration dispatched the Haiyan II type, equipped with an airborne dropsonde system and other mission payloads. It took off from Zigong Lantian Airport and entered the mission area at 20:52. It successfully dropped 12 sondes in the mission area and accumulated a total of 18,700 Effective observation data, real-time observation of key meteorological factors such as wind speed, wind direction, temperature, relative humidity at the fire site, provide a strong basis for decision-making on the best time to artificially increase rainfall.

According to the deployment of the China Meteorological Administration, on March 17, the Wing Loong-2H artificial rain (snow) drone stationed at Liupanshui Yuezhao Airport in Guizhou went to the mountain fire area to conduct human silhouette detection operations. On March 22, the China Meteorological Administration issued another mission based on the weather conditions in the Yajiang mountain fire area. The Wing Loong-2H artificial rain (snow) UAV is equipped with an airborne catalytic operating system, a cloud particle spectrometer, a precipitation particle spectrometer, etc. The mission payload took off from Liupanshui Yuezhao Airport and entered the mission area at 21:17. based on comprehensive analysis and judgment of airborne detection data, radar and satellite data, it completed the rainfall enhancement catalytic operation in the Yajiang mission area and landed in Liupanshui at 2:33 on the 23rd. At Yuezhao Airport, light snow fell in the affected area after the operation. This operation played a positive role in increasing humidity, reducing forest fire danger levels, and helping to extinguish forest fires. It solved the "out of reach, out of reach" firefighting difficulties under extreme conditions such as high temperature and thick smoke, and formed "open space" coordination with rescue forces. The Ministry of Emergency Management once again dispatched the Pterosaur-2 emergency disaster relief drone from Zigong Lantian Airport to the Yajiang fire-risk area to perform aerial reconnaissance and emergency communication support tasks. This is also the Pterosaur-2 emergency disaster relief drone carried out after the disaster. In the fourth mission, after arriving at the mission area at 20:23, real-time reconnaissance of the fire situation was sent back to the command center to fully ensure the rescue command private network and China Mobile, China Unicom, and Telecom public network communications. Since the 18th, it has flown for a total of about 71 hours, with a communication mission area covering a cumulative area of 7,600 square kilometers, more than 50,000 connections, more than 10,000 activated users, more than 6,000 calls established, and more than 3,600 reminder text messages sent. Rescue officers and soldiers have established long-term and stable communications to achieve real-time and efficient command and dispatch of rescue operations.
From March 18th to 22nd, the Wing Loong-2 emergency disaster relief drone went to Yajiang for four consecutive times to perform emergency disaster relief missions.

Recently, the fire danger level of forests and grasslands in many places in our country is high, and fires are frequent in some areas, making the situation very serious. Subsequently, in accordance with the mission deployment of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the China Meteorological Administration, the aviation industry team continued to shoulder the important task of all-weather emergency combat readiness, being on call 24 hours a day, responding quickly, and fully ensuring disaster rescue missions. The aviation industry will continue to implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on disaster prevention and reduction and meteorological work, serve people's livelihood and well-being with scientific and technological innovation, lead the future with unmanned systems, improve my country's natural disaster prevention and control capabilities, and effectively protect the safety of people's lives and property.
