The 5G Drone made by ehang and Huawei Exhibited in Shenzhen Intelligent CIty Expo

On August 21, 2018 (the fourth session) China Intelligent Internation Expo was held up in Shenzhen International Exhibition Center. Numerous technology enterprises participated in the expo to exhibit new technologies and products of intelligent city.

In the conference, some drones were exhibited in the booth, and their functions were for VR connection, atmospheric monitoring, water sampling, and city surveying and mapping.
China Telecom applied drones for VR connection, and the key point was the 5G drones developed by China Telecom and Huawei. It is known that with the help of 5G signals, drones will transmit fast and stable signals, which will be of great support for drone enterprises and users.

Atmospheric monitorin and water sampling will benifit a lot from drones. Drones will fly to the designated airspace or water area, and collect target samples by air or water collecting & analysis equipment. Afterwards, drones will provide the samples to research teams. Atmospheric and water pollution regulations will be guaranteed.
City surveying and mapping is the most widely applications. Pilots will operate drones to get important data based on various mapping equipment like insightful “eyes” for city construction.
