The Rainbow-10 unmanned tiltrotor is a new type of unmanned aerial vehicle that combines helicopter technology with fixed-wing aircraft technology. It takes off and lands vertically in helicopter mode and cruises rapidly in fixed-wing aircraft mode. The flight mode conversion is realized by rotor tilting.
The Rainbow-10 unmanned tiltrotor not only has the capability of vertical take-off and landing, and hovering, but also has the advantage of fast flying speed and long range of fixed-wing aircraft.
The main mission is to carry out the integrated inspection and combat unmanned platform accompanying naval large and medium-sized surface ships or army field forces to perform information security tasks.
The Rainbow-10 unmanned tiltrotor takes off and lands on large and medium-sized destroyers or follows army field forces to perform reconnaissance, detection, communications relay, search, target indication, relay guidance, and so on.
