"World record!" With a flight duration of 80 hours, 46 minutes and 35 seconds, the "Fengru-3 100" UAV developed by the "Fengru-3" team of Beihang University broke its own world record once again, which is inspiring. The young people of Beihang climb the world's scientific and technological peak, and write the name of the motherland in the blue sky again.

On October 1st, the National Day, the International Air Sports Federation (IAF) officially certified the new world endurance record of the 25-100kg oil-powered fixed wing uav developed, designed and manufactured by the "Fengru-3" team of Beihang University. The record breaking team ii consists of 25 undergraduates from four grades and different majors. Their average age is less than 20 years old, and more than 90% of them are post-00s.

In October 2019, the first member of The "Fengru-3" team of BeiHANG University set a world endurance record for oil-powered fixed-wing UAVs of 25-100kg class in 30 hours, 6 minutes and 42 seconds.

Through two years of research and development, the team has completed the selection and training of new members, and achieved breakthrough innovation in structure, power, flight control system and other aspects, so that "Fengru No.3-100" UAV has high strength structure, ultra-low fuel consumption and full autonomous flight control capability. The uav the whole machine is black, a wingspan of about 10 meters, the fuselage into submarine shape, made of carbon fiber composite materials, driven by gasoline engine, fill it up with fuel after the total weight of about 60 kilograms, can carry about 3 kg during flight simulation load, the ultimate goal is to bring about 10 to 15 kg payload, flying in the air for five days, It can be used in mapping, communication and reconnaissance.

"The uav was named Fengru 3-100 to commemorate Feng Ru, the father of China's aviation industry, and to pay tribute to the countless people who have made unremitting efforts to become an aviation power in China over the past 110 years
