China encourages the development of photovoltaic products such as solar powered UAVs

It is understood that solar UAV is the use of solar energy as a power source, with the characteristics of super long navigation, the future space is expected to be long for several months to several years, long suspension in the half of the air, and flight height of more than twenty thousand meters. In addition, it has the advantages of flexible deployment and good economy. It has a wide range of executable tasks and has the characteristics of "quasi satellite". In specific applications, solar UAV can be widely used in the field of military and civilian integration, including major natural disaster early warning, normalization of sea area supervision, emergency rescue and disaster relief, anti terrorism maintenance and other public welfare undertakings, and other commercial and industrial fields such as internet wireless access, mobile communication and digital video signal broadcasting in remote areas.
Zhang Hongwen, President of the three Academy of Aerospace Science and technology group, said that at present, China is developing solar powered UAVs that can build air LAN in near space. Near space is the space of 20 to 100 kilometers from the ground. At this height, the solar UAV can provide a network or communication access service that is not restricted by the region by virtue of the advantages of strong mobility and long stall time. Popularly speaking, it is to use this "no dropping plane" to arrange a communication LAN in the air, so that emergency communication guarantee can be realized.
In addition, the development prospects of solar powered fast installed power plants are also very broad. It is understood that the solar energy fast installed power station system can meet the needs of various types of electricity use, such as large events and outdoor activities such as temporary electricity, emergency relief and emergency use of electricity. According to estimates, such electricity demand has more than 2 million kilowatts of market capacity worldwide.
