The project team composed of Engineering Technology Department, Sensitive Components Research Institute, Civil Aircraft Engineering Department, Material Supply Department, Quality Safety and Supply Chain Management Department and other departments formulated a detailed work plan and strictly executed it, and implemented a weekly meeting system. Through digesting and understanding foreign standards and norms, and based on the AC series audit checklist, the team learns the requirements for training and identification of relevant personnel, calibration and maintenance of equipment, procurement and collection of materials, preparation of process procedures and work instructions, etc., welding process evaluation, and internal and surface inspection of welded workpieces. Improvements and modifications are made in the four aspects of internal standards, process, inspection and site control, which further promote the standardization and flow of the company's welding process. In accordance with the audit process, the company's personnel with NADCAP internal audit qualifications were organized to conduct a comprehensive internal audit of the welding process, implement internal monitoring, check for deficiencies and make up for omissions, so as to effectively achieve the goal of leaving no regrets.
During the two-day NADCAP welding audit on September 21-22, the project team members answered questions accurately, provided documents and information quickly, standardized on-site welding process, and reasonable design and use of work fixtures and jigs, which were unanimously recognized by the auditors and successfully passed the audit.
The passing of NADCAP certification for welding not only makes the company's in-depth understanding and strict control of special processes in the aerospace industry substantially improved, and further standardizes the manufacturing process, but also makes the company open the door to enter the world's civil aviation manufacturing field, meets the most critical conditions put forward by the customer to the company, and promotes the company's business to further integrate into the world's aviation industry chain, and provides a good opportunity for the development of the international market and industrialization.
