Underwater UAV layout, numerous difficulties

But for the layout of underwater UAV, it seems that there are many difficulties and pitfalls. After all, there is not much "user demand" for underwater photography. Compared with the demand of land and air photography, people's underwater exploration activities are less. Generally speaking, unless people have special needs, they are not willing to go underwater for photography.
At the same time, the research and development of underwater UAV is very difficult. It took Zhendi three years to realize the mass production of underwater UAV. The technical barrier of underwater robot is too high, which needs to span more than ten specialties. only to solve the refractive index of underwater photography, the design of waterproof system and other issues is a big threshold. It involves a series of core technologies such as navigation control, image transmission, camera, PTZ, sonar, UAV, ID design, application program, image recognition, vision, etc. in the face of new product research and development, Zhendi is unavoidably weak.
Secondly, the underwater robot market is just emerging, users need market education and training. only through continuous product iterations can the product gradually mature. In the field of hardware, there is a saying that "three generations of nobility" must be accumulated in technology for a long time in order to be recognized and developed.
Finally, there is no reference object in the design and development of underwater robot products, which is inconsistent with the industry logic. It can be said that in order to develop mass-produced underwater robots, Zhendi stepped on numerous pits.

Industry level or consumption level?
How big is the UAV market? We can understand that a good product must first meet the needs of users. The UAV is actually a platform. How big the market is depends on what you do with it. The UAV can be used for aerial photographing when it is installed with cameras, and can be used for measurement in agriculture, meteorology and other fields when it is installed with monitoring devices.
However, in terms of the current market share of UAVs, there are only about 1 million UAVs. For ordinary families without special needs, they rarely choose to buy professional aerial UAVs.
From the perspective of products, UAVs must be miniaturized and easy to operate in the future, which is also an inevitable trend. Zhendi's UAV products still need to undergo a long period of market feedback and transformation in the field of air and water manufacturing.
It has to be considered whether the UAV market is industry level or consumer level. Obviously, in the field of UAV, the industry level market can support dozens of teams, but it is difficult to support hundreds of companies. But facing the difficulty of consumer market, too high hardware configuration will increase the economic burden of consumer customers, and low-end configuration can not meet the needs of the industry.
At present, Zhendi has done too little for industry-class business. It believes that its market capacity is too small to fulfill the task of globalization. But in the future, the boundary from industry level to consumption level should be more and more blurred, which is a cross-border process.
At the same time, Zhendi company still lacks in business value chain extension. Its UAV strategy is only to provide platform services, leaving specific businesses to integrators. Among them, it also reflects the development limitations of Zhendi in single business.
Team is more important than technology to meet market demand
It is Zhendi's ideal and original intention to change the world by inventing new "tools". However, it ignores the more important point that team is more important than technology. The development of Zhendi has gone through the process of "initial dream - survival - technology". In the initial stage of an enterprise, survival is the biggest topic, "living" becomes the biggest demand. When an enterprise has a certain scale, enterprise technology becomes more and more important. But if we want to gather more strength, we must have a common cultural ideal and a centripetal team.
At present, Zhendi group has set up branches in China, the United States, Finland, Germany, Japan, Canada and other countries, integrating R & D, production and sales. Zhendi's business scope covers major global markets, with 70% of its overseas business. Now, Zhendi has many patents in the underwater UAV market, and its product sales market has also expanded from Europe and America to Asian countries such as Japan. At the beginning of this year, Zhendi also reached strategic business cooperation with Softbank of Japan. But in terms of team and corporate culture, Zhendi doesn't seem to show its own characteristics to the public.

The core advantage of Zhendi is that it has accumulated many years of technology platform, adheres to independent research and development, attaches importance to patent layout, and achieves the ultimate in user experience and innovation." To this end, Zhendi's company and inno fund also set up investment institutions together, focusing on the investment in artificial intelligence and robotics projects, such as lidar, computer vision and other fields. Zheng Weifeng said that through the investment layout, Zhendi can further cooperate with these companies in the future to establish its own technology ecological pool.
But in the face of the future, the market and demand are changing, and the company is also changing. It's hard to predict what the company will look like in five years. In the future, it is very important for an enterprise to adapt to market changes and manage a good team in addition to technology.
How to meet the wave of AI layout?
As a leading UAV manufacturer, in addition to the UAV's flight, endurance and shooting functions, Zhendi cannot ignore the artificial intelligence assisted hard core matching.
It can be said that the new technology of artificial intelligence has brought changes to the industry, and the products with artificial intelligence as the background will be the biggest technological wave in the next 30 years. In the near future, all players will say that they are artificial intelligence companies, just like when the Internet wave came ten years ago, everyone said that they are Internet companies.
However, artificial intelligence is only a technical means, which must be rooted in practical application. For Zhendi, artificial intelligence technology is not perfect at present, so its application must be narrowed down to the vertical field to play a role.
The first is image recognition, especially identity recognition and authentication. At present, the technology has been widely used in the field of security.
