UAV opens up air passage

"When delivering goods to the villagers of yangliuzhuang village in Baiyangdian, they should first drive from the distribution station to the wharf, then transfer ferry to cross the lake, and then walk to deliver goods to the villagers. It's not a small expense just to take the ferry every day. " Deng Huashan said.
Now, the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic has affected the ferry's only access.
"Now all ferries to the island have been stopped. It's a peninsula. If you drive around, you'll have to run more than 100 kilometers. The road is rugged and narrow, and the fastest is two hours. It will take more than six hours for the delivery staff to come down the whole way." Deng Huashan said.
A few hours after receiving the call for help, the UAV team began to survey the environment and flight route around the new business department in Baiyangdian. Ba found that the difficulty was far beyond imagination.
There are hundreds of overstocked orders in the distribution station of Anxin business department, many of which are necessities of life. Environmental surveys, airspace approvals and the support of villagers are essential to get through the route with drones.
"During the implementation process, we got the support of the local town government, but after we entered the village, the villagers were still on guard and questioned us. Finally, I took out the media's report on "Jingdong's obligation to deliver relief materials for Wuhan" to show them, and they just let go of their guard. " Ba hang said with a smile.
The problem is solved one by one. The UAV can fly here. After debugging, the UAV took off from the West dike wharf of Duancun and landed in yangliuzhuang village, liulizhuang Town, on the other side of Baiyangdian Lake. Take off, cruise, landing, unloading, return and other links seem to be a cool process, but there is no one knows the hard work behind it. The UAV team has been busy for more than ten hours and can't afford to eat at all. However, to the satisfaction of the UAV team, the air transport line they built is not only the package, but also the guarantee of villagers' life.
This line originally needed to bypass more than 100 kilometers. After the UAV was used, the line was shortened to 2 kilometers, and the whole journey took only a dozen minutes.
While excited, villagers also remind each other to pick up the express delivery. Some villagers also enthusiastically tell the UAV team which other places are suitable for landing. Yangliuzhuang villagers also became the first domestic users to enjoy the distribution of drones in JD logistics during the anti epidemic period.
