Aircraft meteorological observation, which is dominated by high-altitude large unmanned aerial vehicles, is an important part of space-based observation. It has the advantages of rapid response, strong mobility, continuous work in harsh environments or places difficult for humans to reach, and can be combined with other observation methods to form a high-altitude to ground three-dimensional observation network.
"Gas exploration II" high-altitude large UAV is an important achievement of meteorological modernization and high-quality development. It will provide breakthrough solutions for key tasks such as marine meteorological target observation, plateau meteorological observation, mobile observation of major meteorological disasters and verification of the authenticity of meteorological satellites; At the same time, it is also a "strong cadre" to improve China's comprehensive observation strength, carry out high-altitude large-scale UAV monsoon and typhoon observation, promote the application of UAV carrying business, and build a national UAV meteorological observation technology innovation platform. It is one of the important equipment for China's meteorological "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" construction.
The exhibition was organized and implemented by the Meteorological Observation Center of the China Meteorological Administration. From 2020 to 2022, the China Meteorological Administration has carried out observation tests focusing on high-altitude large unmanned aerial vehicles (i.e., the "Haiyan Plan"), successfully carried out high spatial and temporal resolution vertical detection of typhoons, glaciers on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, etc., verified the mobile observation mode based on high-altitude large unmanned aerial vehicle platform, and gradually established the operational process and observation command guarantee system of weather target oriented mobile meteorological observation.Limbach L275E Engine
