Drone relay system can collect and transmit monitoring data of ecological Internet of things in remote areas without public network coverage.
The system includes drone airborne relay equipment and ground Internet of Things terminal equipment. In remote areas without public network coverage, when the drone carries relay equipment to the area near the ground terminal, the drone relay equipment and the ground terminal establish a remote radio communication link and send wake-up commands to wake up the wireless communication module on the ground terminal. When the drone flies over the ground terminal, the drone relay equipment establishes a high-speed data transmission link with the ground terminal. The ground intelligent terminal will send the stored environmental monitoring data to the drone. After collecting the data, the drone flies to the area covered by the mobile network and forwards the collected data.
The system is compatible with most environmental monitoring equipment and optimizes the disadvantage of high human cost of traditional manual data collection. The remote wake-up function greatly reduces the power consumption of field deployment equipment and ensures the long-term stable operation of monitoring equipment. It is of great significance to carry out environmental monitoring and collect monitoring data in remote or extreme areas such as the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where there is no mobile network coverage.
