From "broken bags" to drone enthusiasts
He Tao has been extremely curious since he was a child. He likes to take apart everything to study, first his own toys, then all kinds of household appliances in his family. Most of the things he takes apart cannot be put back together, and his family always calls him "the whole package is rotten". It is also this process, exercise his outstanding hands-on ability.
Since 2008, He Tao has been interested in remote-controlled aviation models. In 2010, he got into contact with drone. Since then, he has become an enthusiast of drones.
In July 2015, Yongchuan Power Supply Company was equipped with the first quad-rotor drone and began to try to apply the drone to power inspection. After learning the news, He Tao was so excited that he didn't sleep a night. The next morning, he found the leader to apply for uav related work in the first-line team and combined his hobbies with work. He stood up to his family and colleagues do not understand, resolutely came to the production line full-time engaged in drone inspection work.
He led two colleagues who had never worked with drones to start from scratch and selflessly Shared with them what they had learned over the years, enabling them to quickly improve their ability to work with drones. And led the establishment of Yongchuan Company uav innovation workstation, focusing on innovative applications of drone , free of charge to purchase the processing equipment, drone parts for work.
By chance in 2016, he Tao heard from his colleagues that it was difficult to deal with airborne objects on power lines, and he had to operate without power. Over the next few days, he pondered the problem day after day, mulling over a solution, and finally came up with the idea of using a drone to carry a fire-breathing device to electrically remove foreign objects from the line. Just do it. At his own expense, he purchased the raw materials needed for the experiment, and spent one month to successfully produce the first four-rotor fire-breathing obstacle clearing drone, which successfully solved this problem. In that year, the four-rotor fire-extinguishing drone successfully removed more than 20 foreign objects in the line, and helped brother units in Kaizhou, Bishan, Tongliang, Tongnan, Fengdu and other places to remove foreign objects in the line with electricity, thus eliminating potential safety hazards.
He Tao was not satisfied with the achievements he had made, thinking that the load of the four-rotor drone was limited and the endurance was too short, so he continued to optimize the design and produced the second generation of the six-rotor spitfire drone, which greatly improved the load and endurance compared with the first generation.
