Guangdong Opens Express Delivery Service Route for UAV

Guangzhou, May 18, Xinhua (Reporter Jinghuai Overseas Chinese) International Express Enterprises and Chinese UAV Enterprises jointly opened an 8 km UAV Express Delivery Route in Songshan Lake, Dongguan, Guangdong on May 16. The one-way delivery time of 5 kg packages can be shortened from 40 minutes to 8 minutes by means of intelligent UAV distribution.
_This is a joint venture between DHL International Air Express Co., Ltd. of Sino-Foreign Transport and Yihang Intelligent Company, an unmanned aerial vehicle company. According to reports, this route from DHL company is located in Liaobao Service Center of Dongguan City, Guangdong Province to Songshan Lake area, flying about 8 kilometers, using Falcon logistics UAV for delivery. The model has a 4-axis 8-blade multi-rotor structure with a maximum range of 10 kilometers.
At the launch meeting, Yihang Intelligence also released Yihang 184L Logistics UAV with a maximum load of 260 kilograms and a maximum range of 25 kilometers. This product will become the main model of intelligent logistics UAV in the next stage, according to the person in charge of Yihang Airlines.
_DHL company related person in charge introduced that the unmanned aerial vehicle logistics solution released in this paper can effectively overcome traffic congestion, improve delivery efficiency and cut-off time, suitable for flexible high-frequency short-and medium-distance logistics distribution needs in the city. At the same time, relevant enterprises have developed intelligent cabinets specially to realize automatic cooperation and seamless connection with UAVs as the connection of "the last kilometer of delivery" for express parcels.
