In view of the development of the UAV industry in Beijing, Tian gangyin, a CPPCC member from the Beijing Federation of industry and Commerce and chairman of Beijing AVIC Smart Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "AVIC smart technology"), received an interview from qianlong.com, Beijing News.
According to the enterprise investigation, AVIC smart technology was founded in November 2012, a high-tech enterprise supported by Beijing municipal government. The company is headquartered in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. Its main business includes the production and sales of UAVs, airborne equipment, automatic laser bird repellers and other airport equipment.
In the interview, Tian gangyin was asked "what kind of problems do start-ups have now?" taking the UAV industry as an example, when an idea needs to be made into a product, such as a UAV, the enterprise is in Beijing, but the whole manufacturing and proofing of the machine often go to the south, and then there will be three problems: first, the iteration cycle will be very long. Mold opening itself is not mass production, manufacturers are not willing to do it, the scheduling cycle is very long, which affects the speed of iteration; second, the quality is not guaranteed. Because there is no long-term stable supplier, and the number of start-ups is very small, so when we go to the south, we often choose some small factories. When there is a problem, we often don't know whether it is the creativity or the manufacturing process. Third, the cost. "It's not easy to melt a little money, and then it's all used in trial production, because the trial production volume is very small, and the cost may be ten times or even higher than the mass production," Tian said
Tian gangyin suggested: "in Yizhuang, we can form an industrial chain rapid manufacturing center, which can bring in some enterprises from outside, and also can build some platforms for us, so that our ideas can quickly become products in Yizhuang."
"The difference between the north and the south is that the south is mainly for market traction and civilian use, while the north is for state policy traction, military or larger aircraft." "After so many years of development in Yizhuang, we feel that the industrial environment in Beijing is not as good as that in the south if we develop industrial UAVs," Tian said
When asked about "what promotion and help will be given to the UAV industry with the development of 5g and other science and technology", Tian gangyin said that the development of UAV industry cannot be separated from the support of surrounding industries, including new power, new materials, new processes, such as 3D printing, etc. "The original aircraft is very expensive because of its complex process and high material cost. With the development of new processes such as 3D printing technology and new materials such as composite materials, the cost has been reduced to one tenth of the original."
Tian gangyin believes that the concept of aviation class UAV has been initially put forward. 2020 should be the first year of aviation class UAV, which is likely to be the next generation of transportation. He revealed in the interview that the company now makes a plane, which can fly from Beijing to Jinan in about 40 minutes, with a production cost of about 1 million. "I don't know the price, its safety is about 40 times that of a car, and people's life circle may be greatly expanded in the future."
