The first problem xiao Suzhi's team encountered was the research and development of the drone hangar. Originally, drones are used in a wide range of applications, but generally require manual take-off. Autonomous flight over long distances and self-charging could lead to cross-regional, all-weather industrial operations. once a drone has a hangar, it has a warm and comfortable "home" from which it can take off when it needs to carry out a mission. At the end of the mission or when the power is almost out, it can automatically find the "home" and land safely, which provides the possibility of first-time patrol in emergency or bad environment.
It's not easy for a drone to operate smoothly under extreme conditions, and Xiao remembers the night of Oct 19, 2018, when her team couldn't sleep at night because of an "explosion" incident during the development and testing of an industrial drone.
One failure did not crush the young team. When the team was most depressed, Xiao Suzhi told the story of "two bombs and one star" of the older generation of scientific researchers to encourage everyone: ensuring the flight safety of the UAV is the most important responsibility, and not a bit careless.
Analyzing data during the day and testing and recording at night, Xiao suzhi and her engineers went to several hangar sites in Lingang and stayed up all night for several days until the algorithm was optimized to be extremely reliable, enabling the UAV library to be adaptable to various environments.
Xingluo AI also got a good opportunity in the early stage of entrepreneurship. The research results gave the team the opportunity to deeply participate in the Lingang Smart City Brain project, completed the seamless coverage of DRonES in the core area of Lingang New area, and built the first uav cluster operation network in China.
