Within this year, 25 UAVs will take off from Beijing's high-end manufacturing base and play an important role in scientific research, test and various exercises and training.

In front of reporters is an open "Apron", parking four drones and a number of camouflage vehicles. Xiang Zhen, director of the design department, told reporters that the "Apron" is actually the future production area, and the plant is still under construction, and it is expected to officially start production in May and June this year.
Two of the four UAVs on display are military target aircraft, and the other two are unmanned helicopters to be put into civilian use. Reporters saw that the two helicopters are very compact, covering less than 10 square meters. According to Xiang Zhen, the two helicopters are wd100 and wd200 series, and the flight control system has full independent intellectual property rights.
Work in special environment
Hou Xueli told reporters that at present, most of the domestic UAVs are used in the military field. After JinPengDa company enters the high-end manufacturing base in Beijing, it will carry out the development and promotion of civil UAVs. "Civil UAVs are still blank in Beijing and even in China." Hou said that compared with foreign UAVs already put into civilian use, there is still a big gap in this aspect in China.
According to Xiang Zhen, the unmanned helicopter is actually just a platform, and it can do whatever work it needs to install. Civil pilotless helicopter can be used in many fields, such as environmental protection, land surveying and mapping, electric power construction, crop sowing and spraying. "It can be used for power line inspection and environmental monitoring." Through the cabin door, the reporter saw that the cabin was equipped with a flight control system composed of computers and other equipment, which is the "brain" of the UAV. A precision electronic eye is installed in the belly of the fuselage, which can transmit the monitoring picture in real time.
Xiang Zhen told reporters that unmanned helicopters can operate in mountains, fires, earthquakes and other harsh conditions, so that staff do not have to take risks. During crop spraying operation, the wind force generated by aircraft propeller can promote the penetration of drugs to crops from top to bottom, greatly improving the efficacy.

The price of the equipment installed in the helicopter is also different. The average price in the future may be 45 million yuan.
Xiang Zhen said that for some users who need helicopter operation, the price of several million yuan is very cost-effective, at least the high cost of driver training can be saved. According to the order, 25 UAVs will take off in Beijing's high-end manufacturing base in the year, Hou said. The first batch of products are mainly used for scientific research, testing, various exercises, training, etc.
The reporter learned from Fangshan District government that high-end manufacturing industry like UAV has become an important part of Fangshan Park in Zhongguancun. In 2012, the fixed asset investment of Fangshan high-end manufacturing base was 2.212 billion yuan, and the annual output value of enterprises such as Jingxi heavy industry and Chang'an automobile which had been put into operation was about 800 million yuan, the tax revenue was about 37 million yuan, and more than 1800 people were employed.
