Eight new energy law enforcement vessels have been berthed neatly at the dock of Miyun Reservoir Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade in Beijing. These patrol law enforcement vessels equipped with unmanned aerial vehicles for the first time have been on duty. After these new energy law enforcement vessels are put into use, Miyun Reservoir will achieve high standards to protect the life water of the capital and eliminate potential pollution hazards in the reservoir area.
It is known that with the continuous upgrading of water conservation measures in Miyun, the original fuel law enforcement ship has hidden dangers of fuel leakage and pollution of reservoir water quality by discharges. The new energy law enforcement ship uses LPG outboard engine, which can reduce carbon monoxide emissions by more than 70% and harmful particulate matter emissions by more than 95% compared with the outboard engine of fuel tanker. After use, it will effectively reduce pollutant emissions in reservoir area. In addition, the fuel tanker can only patrol for one hour or so, while the new energy tanker can patrol for a whole day with six cans of gas.
In addition to green environmental protection, new energy law enforcement ships are equipped with a lot of "black technology" for water conservation. The new ship's navigation system can help law enforcement officers enforce the law safely in foggy weather. The infrared thermal imager has a night vision detection distance of 3 kilometers, and several birds can be seen clearly along the shore. The new ship is also equipped with unmanned aerial vehicles and a monitoring and forensic system. When law enforcement officers find illegal fishing and other illegal activities, they can also take photos to collect evidence so that the illegal activities can not be hidden.
In order to ensure the absolute safety of water sources in the capital, Miyun District established the Miyun Reservoir Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade in 2018 with the approval of the Beijing Municipal People's Government. As the first regional comprehensive law enforcement pilot project in the country, Miyun District is responsible for centrally exercising 131 law enforcement powers of agriculture, environmental protection and urban management departments related to Miyun Reservoir and comprehensively promoting water conservation work.
_Beijing has been upgrading its water conservation measures from grid management of the management scope of Miyun Reservoir protected area and the main river course in the upper reaches of Chaohe Baihe River to the establishment of a three-level river length system of districts, towns and villages and a non-missing cross-section assessment mechanism, to the construction project of enclosure and reservoir belt in the middle island of the reservoir and the implementation of livestock and poultry prohibition. With this series of strict water conservation measures, the water quality of Beijing Miyun Reservoir can always be maintained above the national surface water class II standard.
According to Yu Xing, head of the comprehensive law enforcement brigade of Beijing Miyun Reservoir, Beijing Miyun District will also build a wetland group for water conservation of Miyun Reservoir, strengthen upstream water conservation, and promote the construction of an intelligent monitoring system with full coverage in the first district and the upgrading of rural sewage treatment facilities. At the same time, Miyun District of Beijing studies and promotes the relocation of villages in the first-level reservoir protection area, develops public welfare jobs for water conservation, and also promotes local farmers'income.
