According to the new five-year agreement, the two sides will continue to provide training and engineering support to Boeing's manufacturing suppliers in China, and explore more opportunities to expand training cooperation. The signing ceremony also witnessed a total of more than 10000 trainees from the Manufacturing Innovation Center (MIC).
Aviation industry and Boeing initially established the Manufacturing Innovation Center (MIC) in Beijing in 2012. Later, the two sides further expanded the project, opened a second park in Shenyang, and developed more offline and online courses for Chinese suppliers. According to the agreement, AVIC Heavy Aircraft's aviation industry Hongyuan and Anda will manufacture various types of forgings for Boeing.
In recent years, AVIC International's joint forging manufacturing enterprise has actively carried out forging project cooperation with Boeing Company, and successfully entered into the forging supplier system of Boeing Company. It has successively signed several forging project contracts, with products covering Boeing 737, 747, 767, 777X and 787 models. With the continuous improvement of AVIC Heavy Machinery's forging manufacturing resources, the forging project has become a new breakthrough in the cooperation between the aviation industry and Boeing, and will also provide stable and efficient support for Boeing's supply chain in the Asia Pacific region.
